Dear Flora, I’ve come to a stressful point in my life where I’m just not sure what to do. I’m a sex worker who’s heart belongs to painting and photography. I’ve finally found my soul mate just a few months ago and we are in the process of moving on from our current messy living situations. Since meeting 3 months ago it seems we have been thrown every curve ball the universe could muster. From family feuds, money issues, and my job we have been trudging through a lot of negativity but are staying positive and welcoming our creative futures with open arms. It seems the more we try to perservire the more we are presented with a new obstacle, almost as if the universe is testing us. Our families are unsupportive of us because we have both chosen to live authentically happy lives in love and faith instead of 9-5 desk jobs that steal our souls. We’re both artists, he an actor/ writer and I a painter/ photographer/ writer. We make enough to get by and know that down the line money will not be an issue for us. We know that creative endeavors take time and we don’t want them to lose their authenticity by stressing monetary values on them.I stumbled across you by chance and thought maybe it was a sign- as now we are in spring and absolute transition and I at a crossroads.
My question is, will everything work out the way we hope? Why does evil suddenly reach its apex in our lives when we have found one another and are our absolute happiest, healthiest selves? I have been told many times that the path of least resistance is always the “right” path. I feel like this path I’m goingoing down is full of the most resistance but I’ve never been so happy with the direction. Why is that? Hoping for some clarity, thank you, Rose
Rose, You are indeed in the midst of a major turning point in your life as Saturn, the planet of the crossroads, crosses over several of the key areas in your chart. In December of 2017 Saturn formed a conjunction with your North Node in Capricorn. This transit forced you to grow, stretch and evolve in the direction of your goals. Saturn and Capricorn both demand patience, persistence, commitment and fortitude. Meanwhile your Aries rising and three planets in Leo in Leo’s own 5th house are pushing for a more quick, “fire style” active resolution.
Leo naturally thrives on drama, excitement and action. As Saturn continues on its journey through your chart over the next year or so, it will be important for you to practice slowing down and going deep. Answers and fulfillment will come through focus and hard work, done again and again and again. Like weight lifting, your early efforts might feel painful and your results invisible. But if you persist and continue you will gradually see visible progress. Your Capricorn Midheaven and Jupiter in Virgo in its own 6th house are your earth super powers, always on standby to help you do the work and do it well. Neptune in Pisces is opposing your Jupiter in Virgo right now (through 2019), making your work and service in the world a little out of focus. Neptune can bring plenty of inspiration and magic however, if you cultivate it in the right ways. Photography is one field that Neptune rules, making this a good time for you to infuse your work with otherworldly influences.
Your best course of action is to take a look at what you are feeding your fire of creativity to keep the blaze going. Saturn demands self-responsibility and dealing with the consequences of your own actions. If you can honestly look at every dramatic situation that is currently “live” in your life and explore what is your role/responsibility and part in it and what is not, you may find ways to alleviate the “drama triangle” or at the very least step away from the heart of the problem. A drama triangle often involves a perpetrator, a rescuer or a victim. Do any of these roles sound familiar? If so, how can you transform the role you are playing into those of a creator, coach or challenger instead?
You can support yourself through these Saturn transits with flower essences like Penstemon, which can help you stay the course, even when life feels hard, Pink Yarrow, which can help you integrate the emotional boundaries that Saturn asks for and Walnut, which is a tonic essence for any kind of life change or transition.
Best of luck as you create your best, most fulfilling life, Flora’s emissary, Fern
