I’ve been paying a lot of attention to Mars lately. It wasn’t just the Olympics, with its splendid display of Mars-ruled athletes, or NASA’s successful landing of “Curiosity” on the planet itself, or even the smoky skies from all the Mars-ruled fires currently around Southern Oregon. I recently entered my “Mars Dasa,” a 7-year period ruled by the warrior god and I’ve been noticing signs that he’s around. For example, rhubarb is a Mars-ruled plant. I’ve had one in my garden for the past two years and it’s just sat there; it hasn’t grown nor died. But the week I entered my Mars dasa, it suddenly bloomed and burst into growth that is now quite magnificent. Two weeks ago, I enjoyed my “Mars birthday,” which occurs every two and a half years when transiting Mars conjuncts one’s natal Mars. With all this emphasis on the masculine god, it doesn’t surprise me that I’ve been eager to bring new male voices (Colin’s and Robert’s) to MoonCircles. I love hearing how men are celebrating the emerging strength of the Divine Feminine. Here’s another example, a YouTube video that had me singing and laughing for hours. It quite suits my Mars-in-Libra’s fancy, as I take my own Mars to yoga several times a week. I hope you enjoy it too.
