Recently I’ve been playing with an exciting new approach to manifestation, as outlined in the book Scripting the Life You Want, by Royce Christyn. It involves a daily practice of writing down your intentions for the day ahead, including things you hope will happen along with others that you absolutely know will happen. This engages your brain’s reticular activating system (RAS), whose job it is to focus on your survival. If your RAS has been programmed to believe that, say, it’s not safe to spend money on yourself, then it will continually create scenarios that reinforce this limited belief. But if you write down something like, “Today I’m going to enjoy buying a new outfit,” then do so, your RAS begins to make new synapses. It starts to understand that when something goes on your list, it’s likely to happen in your life – not only the things you know will happen, but your greater intentions and desires.
The interesting thing about this practice, as mundane as it seems, is that it’s gradually increasing my enjoyment of life, my appreciation for what I already have, and my confidence that I have some control over where things are headed. Yes, there will always be things we don’t see coming. But doing this simple practice generates a feeling that not everything is random, that by telling the Universe what I want, it will respond (though this can take time). Nothing dramatic has happened yet, but I definitely feel that things are looking up! And I’m not even halfway through the book, so there’s lots more to experiment with.
Whatever you feel called to manifest or align with, personally or globally, now is the time. There is so much rapid change in the air since July that it’s hard to predict what’s coming next – which opens the gates to change. Just look at all the unexpected events in U.S. politics over the last month – not to mention the biggest Internet outage the world has ever seen. All of which have the unmistakable signature of electric Uranus, which was galvanized by incendiary Mars in mid-July. When powerful energies like this converge, they can sweep us in a new direction – but may also bring tension. So it’s important to focus our desires, rather than let ourselves succumb to anxiety or feeling scattered.
Uranus is once again a major player at the dynamic Aquarius Full Moon (August 19, 11:25 a.m. PDT.) Not only is Uranus the modern ruler of Aquarius, thereby bringing extra wattage to this lunation, but Uranus in Taurus exactly squares the Sun in Leo and Moon in Aquarius, all at 27 degrees. And, Uranus squares retrograde Mercury at 26 Leo. Shocks and reversals are likely, but so are quick, exciting breakthroughs. (You may be particularly affected if you have planets at late degrees of the fixed signs.)
Info and excitement have been flowing thick and fast all month, especially now that Mars has joined Jupiter in chatty Gemini, exact on Aug. 14. Yet Jupiter in Gemini squaring Saturn in Pisces on Aug. 19 (also building for some time) alludes to determined forces trying to quash Jupiter’s enthusiasm with rules or blockages. Yet squares force change and can bring divergent forces together. U.S. events will continue to dominate headlines, as the Full Moon conjoins the U.S. Moon, symbolizing the public. The DNC, which begins on the Aug. 19 lunation just as Jupiter squares Saturn, should be one for the record books. Venus in Virgo (feminine power) will create a dynamic T-square with Jupiter and Saturn. Watch out, world!
What’s coalescing in your own life? Are you feeling hopeful, like change is imminent? Bidding farewell to something or someone? Dealing with things beyond your control? Keep your feet on the ground and your eyes on the stars, as things are happening fast. And whether you begin a daily practice of scripting your reality, like I have, or do your own thing to catalyze change, I send you love and solidarity!

Thank you, Simone, for an uplifting article. Uranus in Taurus is transiting right at my 27 degree ascendant. Feeling this strongly.

Wow that sounds like an exciting transit! This Full Moon should be one to remember for you! Cheers…
