A key feng shui maxim is: Whatever is in closest proximity to you has the most impact on you. In other words, what’s happening within your living or work space is a reflection of where you’re at in your life. This includes not only the structure and what’s in it, but the people and animals who share it.
My closest companion is a cat called Max. And boy, does he have an impact on me! Max has a fun, feisty Aries Sun with Moon in sweet, companionable Libra. He was born at a full moon nearly five years ago. Like many full moon types, he’s unpredictable. One moment he’s snuggling up to me, and the next he’s attacking my leg. But I don’t know how I’d live without him.
Max had a rough start in life. When I adopted him as a kitten, I’d hoped my older cat Nora would take him under her wing. Instead, he tormented her. It got so bad that I had to keep them apart 24-7. It was no way to live, for any of us. But it did reflect where I was at, with my inner male and female at odds as I struggled to get over a broken heart. Poor, sweet Nora passed a year ago, so now it’s just me and Max. I wake up each morning happy to find him nestled next to me. Partnership is at hand.
We’re about to have the Libra Full Moon (March 28, 11:48 a.m. PDT), also known as the relationship full moon. This can be an opportunity to find new love. But this lunation is complicated. As it opposes the Libra Moon of love and justice, the Aries Sun joins Chiron and Venus, bringing up issues related to independence, anger and the wounded masculine and feminine.
The full moon falls on the heels of the March 25 Venus Star Point (VSP), or Venus’ superior conjunction with the Sun. As Venus unites with the Sun in fiery Aries, she becomes a visible evening star, lighting a spark for the next nine months in whatever portion of your chart contains 5 Aries. According to astrologer Catherine Boyer, “Although Venus is said to be in detriment in Aries, her alignment to the Sun and the kiss they share is still capable of awakening determination and drive. As Venus departs from Gemini (our most recent VSP sign), she recreates herself in fiery Aries, giving birth to creativity and determination. You can create your own fresh entry into springtime by mindful attention to self-exploration and self-conquest.”
Venus, of course, rules the Libra Full Moon. So we’re now being supported in making peace with the wounds of the past, finding ways to re-establish balance, and moving ahead with a spark in our step. Also, Mars is conjunct the North Node in Gemini, helping us look at things with fresh eyes. Rather than being stuck in a Sagittarius South Node position of righteous anger or thinking we know it all, it’s better to cultivate a Gemini-style “beginner’s mind.” This invites a brighter outlook – and unexpected solutions. Mars and the North Node are in good aspect to the Sun, Chiron, Moon and Saturn, helping us find the path forward. So at ‘his’ Full Moon, Max wanted me to remind you to ask yourself: Who or what is closest to me? And what might that reflect about my life? Greater self-awareness is the gift of these times.

My cat Manuia, which means “Blessing” in Polynesia is closest to me. She touches my face gently with her paw and I feel full of love. She was rescued on Kaua’i and came with me to the Dominican Republic where I heeded to start a new life at age 77. She sure helpined.

Glad you enjoyed it, Linda! Sounds like you’re resonating with the Mars-North Node conjunction in Gemini – keep speaking out, it seems to be working for you!

Thank you Simone, for your grounded interpretation of this Libra Full Moon.
With the Gemini penchant for communication, I am speaking my truth now, plainly and openly – and wow! what an effect that’s having!
All the best to you,
Linda
