If only Kate Middleton can wait until the 29th! That’s when a rare alignment known as the “Star of David” occurs. According to ancient astrologers, this aspect heralds the birth of a king. Astrologically minded historians believe that this was the “star” the three wise men were actually following when Christ was born. Those born on July 29 this year should be blessed with royal qualities–charisma, radiance, and a plethora of inner gifts.
The Star of David (or “Seal of Solomon” as it’s sometimes called) occurs when the planets of two Grand Trines combine to form a perfect star pattern in the horoscope (it’s not possible to see this in the sky, unfortunately). The Grand Water Trine, consisting of Jupiter/Mars, Saturn, and Neptune, blessed us for much of July. At the end of this month it is briefly joined by a Grand Earth Trine of Moon, Venus, and Pluto. With the trines in earth and water signs, this is a creative combination, when you can give form to the ideas that have been whispering in your spirit.
Will something special happen to you on this day? Maybe. The trick with Grand Trines is that you have to notice and use them. Rare planetary configurations are a gift. The heavens are united in a brief and majestic harmony. You can either sing or dance along–or just keep going the way you usually do. I hope you’ll keep your eyes and ears open. Notice whatever comes to you. If it’s a blessing in disguise, use insight to see the ribbons and gold.

Hi Dana, I would like to print the chart for the 29th July, can you help with info.
I have found charts showing the Star of David on a wheel without house cusp degrees or a time, are you able to provide this info. I love your website and especially your articles in TMA. many thanks Robyn

I think the reason you’re not finding charts with cusp degrees or times is that there is not one moment today when all the aspects perfect, so we can’t choose a time–and if we did, the house cusps would differ widely depending on your location. Make sense?

yes, thank you – regards Robyn

hi dana, thanks for the post….. I have a question: july 29th is my birthday- which means the star of david is my solar return….how do you think it will manifest in a solar return chart?….it looks pretty intense to handle…
thank you
Dana Gerhardt says
Without looking at the full chart, I won’t be able to say much meaningful, but, you should always remember that “solar returns can’t deliver what’s not promised in the natal.” In other words, your personal transits and progression set the stage. The solar return is just a divination chart that offers more information on the transits (the solar return is after all a transit chart). But I don’t think of the energies of the “Star” as intense… they’re more like an invitation. The planets involved are flowing, not resisting each other. What’s the best way to use this flow in your life? That’s an appropriate contemplation.
