Below is an excerpt from the findings of my Venus research (more info about that here):
One of my happiest memories was when I was 10 or 12 up in the top of a willow tree that I was finally brave and able enough to climb. Up there I could see far and wide: the neighborhood, the busy street below, up into the sky. I could feel the breeze and the movement of the tree in the wind, between my legs, arms and against my belly. It was the best delight. Even now I dream of climbing a tree to get that wonderful feeling. –LH
I’m attracted to intelligence, physique and stamina. I’ve been described as carnal, but I don’t know what that means, because if I’m attracted to someone, I just do what comes naturally. I am definitely not passive. I like variety and I’m somewhat acrobatic, as I get easily bored. –EV
Making love outdoors is always better than inside, even in sub-freezing weather.–LL
With Venus in Sagittarius, am I too “don’t fence me in” to stay in a relationship longer than three years? –RD
The great desire of your Venus in Sagittarius is celestial. She wants to experience the unlimited aspect of the Divine Feminine, unbounded and in movement. She’s the valley girl on a horse racing a guy from the other side of the tracks hoping that he can keep up with her. She’s athletic. She’s also, cross cultural. In fact this is one astrology cliché that is actually true. Venus in Sagittarius and Venus in the 9th house very often are attracted to mates from different cultures and countries.
One of the Venus-in-Sag surprises that came up in my research was how often they mentioned a delight in dancing, perhaps more than any other sign. As one of your Venus-in-Sag brothers expressed it, “In dance, as in the sports of my younger years, I always feel such elemental joy, spontaneity, artistry and daring.” Your Venus in Sagittarius is likewise daring and strong and intelligent and spirited.
She likely loves travel and time spent in nature. She loves truth and has a certain fearlessness. No doubt you’ve noticed, she loves her freedom. Getting entangled in commitment is not her number one priority. Often enough Venus-in-Sag attracts partners who pull the rug out from under her feet–as (to keep things safe) she tends to pick commitment phobic people like herself.
Don’t tell me what to do
But overall she’s the plucky heroine in a romance novel. One Venus in Sag named her grandmother as a woman who particularly inspired her with her feminine expression—and it’s a great portrait of Venus in Sagittarius:
She was a Ukranian Jewish immigrant who came to America after walking across Europe, dodging bullets and starvation. She gave birth to her first child on the floor of family friend’s house in a bitter Montreal winter. On seeing the marble floor of a dance hall for the first time in her life, she fell to her knees and kissed it. She taught herself to read and speak English, she became a respected intellectual, active in political organizing during the Depression. She always made sure I was well dressed and worried incessantly that I was too thin.” (Well that’s the Jewish mother part.) But definitely you can also hear the plucky heroine. –AD
The raw energies inside your Sagittarius Venus
When astrology was a sacred practice, it was understood that life itself, our very bodies, were infused with the divine. The first astrologers knew the Gods as the powerful, vibrant and creative play of emotions running through their world. The gods appeared as sandstorms, thunder claps, bird song, floods, abundant harvests, calamities, shouts of sorrow and joy.
Gods are immortal which means we can still find them as the ancients did. Astrology can help. Signs point us to the raw energies that define each sign–its element and mode. Elements describe the dominant energy your Venus runs. This is her fuel. The mode describes her preferred speed. Together they suggest the sensory coordinates to use when dialing in your Venus.
Fire
Sagittarius is a fire sign. Fire is wild, energetic, illuminating, radiant, hot. Use your imagination to make these sensations more vivid. Imagination is the control panel that takes us into the invisible world. Think of a campfire. Wild flames dancing. Feel their warmth. Sense their love of freedom. Hear their passion. Bring your hands closer. Feel the heat. The burning joy. Can you sense the fire in the following thoughts, which are typical of planets in fire signs?
I like to be adventurous.
I like feeling energized.
It feels right to have faith in myself.
I like to commit quickly. I can burn out quickly too.
Earth smothers me. I hate routine and practicality.
Air–the brilliant gust of a good idea–can keep me radiant and inspired.
I like to be the hero. I’ll run you down if you’re in my way.
I’d rather hang out with positive, uplifting people like me.
I don’t know why, but some people think I’m selfish, insensitive and lacking self control.
Mutable
This is the rhythm section–the bass line in your Venus song. With mutable signs, the tempo is light, luminous, upward, balancing. Mutable signs are quick to adjust to changing circumstances. They love to learn. Can you sense how optimistic and idealistic your Venus is? Find her in a joyful dance with a wide and amazing world.
Maybe this, maybe that. Yes I will, no I won’t. I’m flexible.
I can be versatile, sympathetic, and subtle .. also deceptive and crafty.
I pull what’s disparate together.
I seek truth, light, clarity.
There’s no problem that learning something new can’t fix.
I teeter back and forth–gathering information before I commit. Unless life forces my move–I can adjust quickly then.

Thanks a lot for these insights – having a capricorn sun in 5 my Venus in 4 (together with saturn in 4) is a bit curbed i guess, but nevertheless i love beeing outside, avoid commitment as i know I will quickly tire out and run away, yes i am divorced, love learning, dancing, riding horseback and hitch hiking (New people not getting to close just close enough to exchange views and ideas)
I am 63 now and changed places 13 times and i am restless again now… perhaps will buy a camper van
With men i was always onthe lookout for a twin? Someone to live an adventurous interesting life with while laughing – someone not talking me out of my ideas – guess i am not easy for bavarians where i am living at the Moment (i do have kids and grand kids hereabout) – best i got along with was an english and a dutch
Thanks again and have a good time
