Every Full Moon is special, particularly when you bring a little magic to the evening. This is the first Full Moon after the change-of-season brought by the Equinox. It’s a good time draw down extra blessings from the Moon. On the morning of the Full Moon, write down this question: “What would I most love to achieve in the coming weeks?” Return to this question throughout the day and record all your answers. Before moonrise (just after sunset), select the aspiration that inspires the greatest excitement or strongest devotion. After the Moon has fully risen, find a secluded spot and stand under the Moon. Scrub your skin as though you were bathing in moonbeams. Keep your eyes on the Moon and when you feel ready, ask Luna to help make your dream come true. Watch the Moon for a sign. If she remains clear, that’s a “Yes!” If she brightens and her light intensifies, that’s a strong “Yes!” If a cloud passes over the Moon, you may need to re-think or refine your aspiration. You can try again the following night, as the Full Moon energy lasts for a couple of days.
Dana I have been reading your articles for over 5 years now and you are my favorite astrologer. I love how you write, sort of like my discovery of Elizabeth Gilbert…I want to read everything she writes. I started reading your articles on astro.com…and I couldn’t get enough. Your stories give so much insight and are so fun to read and identify with….now I’m reading everything on your websites as well. Thank you so much for what you do and for sharing it.
Thank you! looking foward for the taurus full moon report! best, Maria
Thanks Dana for your generosity and sharing your knowledge! I’m also an astrologer ( I graduated 2 years ago from a 4 year career in CASA XI, wich follows the Liz Greene aproach). I have deep interest on studying the moon and your site has been a real guide to me. Very soon I’ll order a chart and take the workshop. I just have to wish and wait for a 2nd house bonus!!! Maria.
It’s such a pleasure to hear from another moon loving astrologer! I’m delighted to hear that our website has been helpful.
Thank you Dana! I did the exercise of drawing all the 2011 new moons on my chart and I noticed I had no new moon on my 2nd house! my january and december new moon both falls on the 3rd hoause (capricorn). DOes this occur often? hope I can still wish for $ LOL! thanks again! Maria.
Unless you use a whole sign or equal house system to cast your natal chart, years when you double up in one house and skip another do happen. I’m sure the gods won’t begrudge you a second house wish… go for it!
Dear Dana, I need some help. I have Aries intercepted on my natal chart (VI house). I’m trying to follow the new moon cycle on my chart to identify wich house is energyzed by each new moon. Should we look for the exact degree of the moon and check in wich house it falls or should we take a general note of house cusps. If this is the case how should i consider aries/libra moons? I hope my sun conj neptune allow myself to be clear… Looking fwd to a response! thanks for your web and bolg it’s inspiring and i lear a lot from it. hugs from Argentina. Maria.
Good question! Look for the exact degree of the New Moon to find which house is energized.
The Full Moon ritual….Divine!

Last night, I gazed on the Gibbous…so nearly Full Moon and asked that I find my cel phone which had been missing for longer than usual….this morning I put on a pair of cords I seldom wear..and…yes, in a pocket, my cel. :)) So I am making a good list of that which I wish to achieve…
Thanks as always, Dana,
